The archived system included a fine metallic earth mesh for installations where additional electrical protection was specified.
Part of the electrical design
Recovered instructions positioned the mesh above the heat mat and connected its lead to the protective earth. Whether it is required—and exactly how it is installed—must be decided against current regulations and product documentation.

- Connected and tested by a qualified electrician
Special locations
Bathrooms, shower rooms, kitchens and other special locations can require additional protective measures. Never rely on an archived diagram alone for a current installation.
